The art of collecting and appreciating art is a journey of discovery and connection.
Transcending Journeys
Art has always been a vessel for storytelling—a bridge between where we have been, where we are, and where we hope to go. Transcending Journeys is an exploration of the human spirit’s ability to rise above boundaries, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual and features artwork by Thokozani Mthiyane, Nsika Mhlongo and Thami Jali. This exhibition brings together artists who have transformed personal, collective, or imagined narratives into profound visual experiences, weaving a tapestry of resilience, transformation, and hope. Each artwork invites us to traverse the landscapes of memory, identity, and aspiration. From bold strokes of abstraction to meticulously detailed realism, these pieces reflect the multifaceted nature of journeys—both outward and inward. They confront displacement and belonging, explore transitions and thresholds, and celebrate the victories of overcoming.
